Russ has been designing furniture since 2008, beginning with smart, refined pieces for modern, compact living. After building a successful technology company on the East Coast, he relocated to Lake Tahoe, California, where mentorship and hands-on home construction honed his woodworking skills. Furniture-making emerged as his natural calling, driven by a deep respect for the design process. Outside the workshop, he finds balance through trail running in the mountains and spending time with friends and family.

Jess began making art in 2013 after moving from the East Coast to Lake Tahoe, California, where she worked under the name Heartwood Ink. She continually explores new techniques, mediums, and styles, shaping the evolution of her relief prints through practice and ongoing education. In her work and life, Jess values collaboration over competition, quality over excess, empathy over ego, and the collective over the individual. Outside the studio, she prioritizes time with the people she loves.
